Granulometry Dry or Wet Solids

Once the samples are obtained, they are run through the Digital Imaging Microscopy equipment, where photos of each particle are taken and they are stored digitally. The equipment's lenses allow particles from 2 microns onwards to be visualized.

The particles that pass through the field of vision are captured by the lens and an LED that illuminates the cell. The system provides various characteristics of the particles such as size, roundness, sphericity, etc. The equipment has statistical software that allows the information to be organized in different ways, such as ranges of particle sizes, percentage of abrasive particles, erosion rate, among others, according to needs.

Particle size distribution graph by range of particle sizes and characterization of angular particles according to their roundness. Parameters that when analyzed can identify how erosive the particles that are part of the sample can be.
