Granulometry Dry or Wet Solids
Once the solids are obtained using the different techniques (meshes, filter press and soxhlet), the Granulometric Analysis is carried out by Digital Imaging Technique. You can also receive samples of pure solids, extracted from tear downs, filters, liquid samples, downhole samples, etc.
Solids Extraction
Filter Press, extraction of particles from 0.2 microns.
Sieving, extraction of particles from 25 microns.
Soxhlet, extraction of particles from 2.2 microns.
Analysis with Microscopy
Once the samples are obtained, they are run through the Digital Imaging Microscopy equipment, where photos of each particle are taken and they are stored digitally. The equipment's lenses allow particles from 2 microns onwards to be visualized.
Result Digital Images
The particles that pass through the field of vision are captured by the lens and an LED that illuminates the cell. The system provides various characteristics of the particles such as size, roundness, sphericity, etc. The equipment has statistical software that allows the information to be organized in different ways, such as ranges of particle sizes, percentage of abrasive particles, erosion rate, among others, according to needs.
Graphic Presentation
Particle size distribution graph by range of particle sizes and characterization of angular particles according to their roundness. Parameters that when analyzed can identify how erosive the particles that are part of the sample can be.
